A Trip to the Moon

A Trip to the Moon is a 1902 French film directed by George Melies. In the beginning of this short film we see a group of men listening to what looks like a professor getting them ready for there journey. The astronomers who travel to the moon are launched out of what looks like a missal from a cannon. After they land, they all fell asleep and many things take place such as stars with faces and a comet. Once they have awaken, they go to explore the moon only leading to them being attacked by aliens to which they can not keep away. The men are taken to the head alien king, yet the men attack and escape. They make it back to there bullet and make their way towards Earth, landing in an ocean. Once rescued and brought back, they are congratulated with a ceremony and a parade. This was a fun short film to watch and I like the story being told.
